Role Overview
As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will lead and deliver infrastructure-related projects for CES Tech — overseeing planning, execution, deployment, and maintenance for company’s IT infrastructure. You will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and meet the company’s quality and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for infrastructure projects (servers, network, storage, cloud, data-center/DR, security, upgrades).
- Plan and manage end-to-end project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors/contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement and deployment of required hardware/software/infrastructure components — manage vendor contracts and relationships.
- Monitor progress, track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables; report status to senior leadership.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; manage issues, escalations, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with company’s IT policies, infrastructure standards, security protocols.
- Maintain documentation: project plans, high-level/low-level design reviews (HLD/LLD), configuration documents, deployment plans, SOPs, change logs, status reports.
- Oversee handover, post-deployment support, and ensure smooth operations after project completion.
- Facilitate coordination for any required audits, security reviews, or compliance checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent).
- 5–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure projects (servers, networking, cloud, data center, etc.) — ideally including project management responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-level infrastructure: networking, virtualization, storage, cloud (on-prem and/or public), security, DR/backup practices.
- Proven experience managing projects end-to-end, including vendor coordination and procurement.
- Familiarity with project management tools and documentation: scheduling, task tracking, design documents, reports.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management — ability to coordinate internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong planning, risk-management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to quality, compliance, and security best practices.
- Flexibility to handle multiple concurrent infrastructure projects, possibly under tight deadlines.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Certifications such as PMP / PRINCE2 / ITIL or relevant cloud certifications.
- Experience working in IT/ITES campus-style environment or large corporate infrastructure.
- Prior experience with vendor management, contracts, procurement, and coordination of third-party services.
